What is Diesel to LPG Conversion?
As diesel is a self-igniting fuel type, diesel engines do not have spark ignition. Petrol and LPG gas cylinder for industrial use need ignition, however, so they need a spark plug to provide the initial ignition for the combustion to operate. As such, converting a diesel engine into a compliant LPG renders the car unable to use diesel any more. Unlike retro-fitted petrol engines that build a virtual duel fuel system, converted diesel fuel cars are mono fuel cars only.
